Evaluating
management training impact
Broadsword Communications UK train 800 managers
through their in-house training programme. They want to implement an
integrated assessment process of the impact of the training. A PEP monitor
system is designed and trialed over 6 months through a pilot study with
Human Ecology. Five training staff are then trained up to deliver the
system, which shows before and after training scores, comparisons
between training groups, correlations with trainers and overall impact.
Evaluating
and improving sales training effectiveness
Delta Plc have a rolling sales training program
for its 1300 sales staff. Focusing on broad competencies such as customer
focus, listening skills, empathy and relationship management, the course
lends itself to PEP evaluation. After a pilot study, all sales trainers
are trained by Human Ecology on how to improve their trainees' self-confidence,
empathy and responsiveness- key traits which determine effective relational
skills. An online PEP monitor system is then implemented and used to
evaluate the impact of their training on their trainees, in all 1300
individuals, over a 12 month period.
Developing
a globally benchmarked coaching system
KLJ use coaching as their main global tool for
senior management/leadership development, because it takes account of
local conditions. However, they want some indicators of the global impact
of their coaching interventions. A PEP monitor system is designed and
implemented to provide a universally applicable coaching framework.
Using this online system, the diversity of coaching inputs is benchmarked
over a 2 year period, indicating the distinctive characteristics and
issues facing local coaches, and overall effectiveness of the coaching
programme.
